Terms of Service

These terms cover the Light Show Labs website, the public light show library, and custom song requests. Review them before you pay. The refund rules are on the Refund and Cancellation Policy page.

The custom request fee

A custom song request costs $5.00 USD per song. The price shown on the request page at the time you submit is the price for that request. The fee is for the custom request service. It is not a charge for browsing or downloading shows that are already in the public library.

There is no subscription and no account.

How a request is submitted

You send a song title, artist, Tesla model, and email address, and you confirm the price and these terms. Optional notes can include a link or a request that the finished show not be added to the public library.

Submitting the form creates a request with the status Awaiting Payment. It does not complete the purchase.

Accepted payment methods

Payment may be offered through Cash App, Venmo, PayPal, or Zelle. A method appears only after it has been configured with a public handle, link, or code. These services do not all work the same way, and not every customer or business account can use every one of them.

Use the business or goods-and-services option a provider offers. Do not label a business payment as a personal transfer to avoid the provider's fees or rules.

When an order is paid

An order is paid only after Light Show Labs verifies the $5.00 payment in the payment provider's records, or through a provider integration that actually confirms the transaction. Tapping a payment link, copying a handle, or choosing "I've sent this payment" changes the request to Payment Pending Verification. It does not mark the request paid.

Screenshots and notes you type are not conclusive proof.

Feasibility and completion

Some songs may be too long, too unclear, or otherwise impractical to program. Light Show Labs will say so if that happens. There is no guaranteed completion date and no promise that a show will be finished within a set number of days.

After payment is verified, further communication is by email. Watch the address you submitted, including the spam folder.

Public library

Completed shows may be added to the public library for free download. If you do not want a custom show published, say that in the request notes before work begins. Shows already in the library are offered for personal use. Downloading a library show does not transfer ownership of the music.

Intellectual property

Song recordings and compositions remain the property of their rights holders. Light Show Labs does not sell copies of commercial music. Audio files are hosted only when there is a right to host them. You are responsible for using lawful audio on your own USB drive.

The Light Show Labs name, banner, and monogram are used by this business. Vehicle names belong to their owners and are used here only to describe compatibility.

Tesla

Light Show Labs is an independent business and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Tesla, Inc. Tesla software decides whether a vehicle can play a custom light show. Compatibility is not identical across every model or software version.

Acceptable use

Do not submit unlawful content, someone else's personal data without a reason, or automated junk through the forms.
